Why they came to avid/what avid means to me?

I, like so many people in the Western Asian diaspora, had a strong longing of community and belonging for most of my life. Our parents fought for acceptance, and we are fighting for equality among peers who don’t look like us or share our backgrounds. Thats why I think it’s so important for safe spaces like AVID to provide community oriented spaces where we can learn, grow, and have fun together!
