About Laura
Greetings! My name is Laura (she/her+), I was born (somewhere) in China, am local to Northern NJ, and now reside in Colorado where the Arapaho people have connected and lived with respect to the land way before settler-colonialism. I believe community building is an essential part of the human experience and when we feel connected to something larger than ourselves, that's spiritual. As a transracial adoptee, fostering a shared sense of belonging is quite meaningful to me. I look forward to meeting more!

About Justin
Hi! I'm Justin (he/they). I moved to Denver from Chicago for a change of scenery back in 2016. It took me most of my life, a pandemic, and meeting good people to allow myself to embrace my Chinese and Japanese identity. Our community has played a huge part in that. Now, I'm excited that I can play a role in building this community that can offer the same sense of belonging for others.

About Jo
This is Jo! He/him pronouns. Jo is a second-generation Asian American originally from New York City. After moving away from Chinatown and into a predominately white area, Jo found himself navigating through an environment that often felt unfamiliar and isolating. Embracing his heritage and seeking a deeper sense of belonging and community, he has a home with Asian Vibes In Denver.
During Jo's free time, you can find him bouldering at his local crag or at the climbing gym. Jo also plays a role in facilitating Asian Climb Nights. Feel free to stop by and say hello!

About Tico
Hey, I’m Tico! I’m originally from Tampa, FL, and I moved to Denver during the height of the COVID pandemic and I had the opportunity to head out west. Being part of this organization means a lot to me—we’re all about bringing the Asian community together through events that celebrate culture, connection, and good times. Whether it’s a big festival or a small gathering, I love helping create spaces where people feel seen, welcomed, and part of something bigger.
